Foundations and Soils

Colorado is a geological mish-mash of soils.  So much so, that the State of Colorado, through the Colorado Geological Survey Special Publication 43 explains all the horrors that can happen if you don't make sure the foundation design matches the soils type.

Oakwood Construction is well versed in what areas of Pueblo County have what soil types.  They also care about the long term and test every lot they build on for what soils are present. Then, with a Professional Soils Engineer, Oakwood Construction makes sure the foundation is properly designed and built to mitigate the effects that soil would have on the structure of the house if left unchecked.

Soils mitigation is a constantly changing science and Mark makes sure he keeps up on the most current construction practices.  Your home can be built almost anywhere and making sure the foundation is matched to the soil properly will make sure you are happy for decades
